United States, 8th Aug 2026 – Tameka Clark did not begin with a perfect plan, unlimited resources or a straight road to success. She began by making one decision: to start again.
At age 25, Clark returned to school and earned her GED. That decision became the first step in a journey that would eventually lead her into professional cosmetology, natural-hair education, product development, independent publishing, business mentorship and commercial-supply distribution.
Today, Clark is the founder of Bee Natural Locks, an author with a growing collection of books available through Amazon, and the founder of VASS Supplies LLC, a commercial and industrial cleaning-supply business serving customers nationwide.
Her story is not about becoming successful overnight. It is about what can happen when someone stops believing that it is too late.
“Going back to school at 25 taught me that your starting point does not have to become your ending,” Clark said. “I could not see every business or book that would come later. I only knew that I needed to take the next step.”
Clark continued her education through cosmetology training at Erwin Technical College and earned her cosmetology license. She later completed additional professional education related to loc care, hair and scalp concerns, and advertising. Those experiences helped Clark transform knowledge into opportunity.
She built a career behind the salon chair, developed products inspired by the needs she encountered in her work, and began helping other beauty professionals recognize the business possibilities within their skills.

Clark hopes the campaign reaches adults who believe they have waited too long to return to school, begin a business, publish a book or pursue a new direction.
